Sealed Work Zone:
Zip walls and plastic sheeting isolate the work area, and returns are covered so dust stays out of your HVAC and the rest of the building.

Plenty of Louisville projects keep the exterior brick and replace everything inside, from NuLu storefronts to Highlands homes to suburban offices off Shelbyville Road. We remove finishes, partitions, and mechanical runs in a controlled sequence, protect what stays, and hand over a clean space for your contractor.

Plaster, tile, flooring and partitions out; the shell and the finishes you are keeping stay protected.Louisville is full of buildings worth saving from the outside in: brick houses in Old Louisville, storefronts in NuLu, rowhouses in Germantown. We strip interiors in a way that leaves the walls, floors, and trim you want to keep intact.
Old houses are plaster and lath. We take them down in a way that controls the dust and the mess.
Walls and ceilings taken to the studs and joists, with debris bagged or boxed at the source.
Non-structural walls removed to open up floor plans; bearing walls only per an engineer's plan.
Dated cabinetry, soffits and closets removed cleanly, with any trim you want to save set aside.

Wet rooms are where plumbing, tile and old finishes all converge.
Pulled out without cutting into walls or supply lines you intend to reuse.
Wall and floor tile, mud beds, tubs and toilets broken out and hauled off.
Old appliances, water heaters and fixtures disconnected and taken away.

Old flooring in Louisville homes often sits on layers of adhesive and tack strip.
Lifted and de-nailed, with damaged boards separated from any you can salvage.
Thin-set, mastic and sheet goods removed; older adhesives tested first where warranted.
Carpet, pad and tack strip removed, leaving a surface ready for new flooring.

Interior demolition means working inside a place somebody lives or does business. These are our standards for it:
Zip walls and plastic sheeting isolate the work area, and returns are covered so dust stays out of your HVAC and the rest of the building.
Floors, stair treads, and door frames along the debris route are covered, which matters in a house with original woodwork.
Material goes out in manageable loads through a planned route instead of being dragged through finished rooms.
Nails, screws and lath fragments are cleaned up, and the space is left swept and ready for your next trade.

Interior work goes wrong in small ways: a cracked plaster wall you meant to keep, a scuffed staircase, dust in the ducts. A supervisor reviews the plan with you before we start and stays involved while the crew works, so what is meant to stay actually stays.
“The best interior demolition is the kind you barely notice afterward, only a clean, open space where the old layout used to be.” — Louisville Demolition Co Team

Send us the address and what is coming out. We will schedule a walk-through and follow up with a written scope.
Older Louisville buildings can contain asbestos in flooring, plaster, mastic and pipe wrap, and lead in historic paint. We recommend testing before finishes are disturbed. Louisville Metro APCD regulates asbestos locally, and larger renovations can require written notice, so confirm current requirements. Structural, plumbing or electrical changes may also call for permits through Louisville Metro Department of Codes & Regulations.
Where we work: historic masonry in Downtown & NuLu, older homes in the Highlands & Germantown, suburban office suites in the East End, and homes across the South End and West End. Call (714) 333-0178 for an estimate.
